​​Passion for Pets Rescue(PPR) is committed to finding the best "doggie" fit for you and your lifestyle so all have many happy years together. Our adoption process includes the completion of an application form, phone interview, veterinary and personal reference checks, and home or virtual visit. Please read our application guidelines. Please, only one application per household. 

Rescuing a dog can be such a rewarding experience. These amazing dogs just want a home and someone to love. In return they will give you lots of joy and definitely a few laughs. All of our available dogs are located either in foster homes in Maine or with our Southern and Mid-Western partners.  We have so many great dogs from which to choose. Sometimes it will happen when you look online, other times when you come by one of our events. But when you meet, you'll know it's meant to be. And you'll wonder why this sweet dog was homeless and how you got so lucky.  We do screen on a first-come, first-serve basis, but if you are second or even fifth, it is always possible you could be the best fit for the dog.

Every now and again we have the opportunity to rehome cats and kittens. This process is the same as our dog application protocol but we have a slightly different application. All cats can be viewed on our PetFinder and Adoptapet sites.  The adoption fee for cats and kittens is $150.
